Your Personal Data
What we need:
Pebble Heaven Photography, namely Pebble Milo will be the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We collect basic personal data about you including your names, your address, telephone numbers, your email, your beautiful images which I have taken hours to perfect! I do occasionally make a note of personal information, such as your hobbies, where you’re going on your honeymoon, what you do for a job, your personalities and how confident you are at having your photos taken, family relationships which may have an effect on group photos, or in fact any other amazing pieces of conversation we’ve had together. It’s important to me that you’re not just a client, and to build a rapport with you, I love to talk about you and the things that we’ve spoken about previously, and making a note these bits of information, really allows me to get to know you extremely well, and remember what we've already spoke about .
Why we collect your data:
We need your basic personal data in order to be able to actually do the job you have booked me to do, and to also provide you with information about photography services in accordance with our contract. It’s also important to me, and I make notes about the conversations we have, so that I remember what we’ve discussed. I keep your images, because just in case you ever loose your own copies, I will always endeavour to supply you with copies to the best of my ability.
What we do with your data:
All the personal data we hold is processed by me, or any future staff that I may employ in the UK. All data(including images) is held within my computer and on external hardrives , which are password secured, and because I am still old school, and still like to work with paper, I do hold your written file too in a locked cupboard.
For the purposes of website hosting and maintenance, my website is managed by 2 companies, Smugmug and Wordpress. Both companies are also GDPR compliant and the security of my website is just as important to them.
Your personal information data is never shared with any 3rd party. However, with regards your images, I do share your images with the suppliers which only you have chosen and trust, ie. The wedding venue, the cake maker, the make-up artist etc. It is important that suppliers are able to show their work off too, and I have the most amazing images to enable them to do this. If my mind is blown away by the images taken at your wedding or during a photoshoot, I love to display your images on my website – in the galleries and blogs, in portfolios, in albums, on social media, in my studio, in my literature, in my advertising material and on display at exhibitions which I attend. I do this because I’m so proud of the work that I capture, I put my heart and soul into being a photographer, and do love to show off the stunning images that we achieved together. This also enables other clients to see my potential as a photographer, I’m sure this is just how I showed you my work which enabled you to enquire with me in the first instance. This is part of your contract, and I do really appreciate you allowing me to do this, however, respect for my clients is always at the forefront of my mind, and I do understand that some individuals like to remain private. If you do not ever wish for your images to be shared in any way, I would always respect this, and all we have to do is write that into your contract with me, and I'll be more than happy to always ensure they remain private.
How long do we keep your data:
My intention is to keep your data and images, for as long as I am a photographer, and possibly even a little longer than that too. However, with regards to your images – I will try my hardest to permanently hold your images. But I must strongly point out, that it is your responsibility to keep your images safe.
What we would also like to do with your data:
We would like to use your name and email address, or telephone number to inform you of our future offers and similar products. This information is not shared with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website. Just let me know.
What are your rights?:
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you are unhappy with any data privacy issues, please do contact me and I will endeavour to rectify any concerns.
