Oaks Farm Barn is nestled away down a long country lane, in Shirley Surrey, and boasts so many stunning features. Set in 2 acres of immaculately kept gardens, it is most certainly a photographers paradise! I absolutely love working here, with endless possibilities of beautiful backdrops. As the foliage changes through the seasons, every single month of the year this venue looks incredible. Have a look through my images below to see what I mean, it really is amazing. With a family run team who are seriously fabulous, you are looked after by Katie and Tracey, who with their gentle and efficient ways, you can be sure that your day runs to absolute perfection. The selection of top class caterers provide mouth-watering delights for your canapes and meals.
Your day starts in the Orchard Cottage. Nestled away in the gardens, covered in the eye catching wisteria, with views across the beautiful lawns. It's rustic charm, with wooden beams, provides the perfect place for you and your bridesmaids to get ready. I love it in here, it's spacious and full of character.
Arm in arm, with a short walk through the gardens, you make your way around to The Stables, an immaculate wood-beamed barn, which provides you with the perfect surroundings for your romantic ceremony. You can even get married outside, next to the gorgeous pond, under a pergola covered in wisteria, your guests really will be suitably impressed.
After your ceremony, you'll be ready to walk through a shower of confetti as your guests cheer loudly. Drinks and canapes will await you by the lawns, and many couples provide lawn games and live music to entertain your guests. On the colder days, the bright orangery provides you with the warmth, with light flooding in through the windows.
There are endless possibilies for your couple portraits here, it's amazing, and you really must see it to know what I mean. From the beautifully presented pond, the stunning trees, the stables and the orangery, the pergola covered in wisteria and twinkle lights, and the garden patio. Each season brings another colour of flower amongst the immaculately kept shrubs and pots.
The original Victorian Barn, provides a superb room for your wedding meal, beautifully lit with added candles, and wooden-beams, the atmosphere is cosy and intimate. After your meal, you make your way out into the orangery, where the bar is open, and the main barn is turned around ready for the evening shenanigans, where you'll dance the night away under the beams covered in twinkle lights and brightly coloured walls.
I couldn't love this venue any more than I do. Book an appointment with Katie or Tracey to see for yourself, I know that you'll love it too. Enjoy looking through the images.
