Buxted Park Hotel is a stunning Georgian Country hotel full of character and photographic opportunities. Owned by the Hand Picked Hotels Group, you can expect 1st class service and décor. Located in the Ashdown Forest in Sussex, it boasts 312 acres of stunning countryside.
The hotel is big enough for both the bride and groom to get ready, along with all of your guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with neutral colour schemes, grand fireplaces, large windows allowing the light to flood in, huge chandeliers, it really is the perfect place to start your days preparations.
There are a few different options for your ceremony room, however, The Orangery is most definitely my favourite. With high ceilings, and floor to celling windows, and views across the grounds, this part of the building provides a light and airy room to say your I Do's. During the summer months, you're able to get married outside on the Coat of Arms Lawns, with the epicness of the building and the views of the countryside as your backdrop, you make your way onto the grand steps to complete your vows.
Making your way out onto the patio for your drinks receptions, we stay very close to capture your family photos, allowing you to still be near by to your guests whilst we crack on. Afterwards we venture off into the grounds for your couple portraits. I'm spoilt for choice here, as the architecture of the building, and the immaculately kept gardens, provide us with the most amazing backdrops. From the grand steps, the huge pillars, the beautifully kept pond, the opportunities here are endless, I'm absolutely in my element.
The reception is usually in the ballroom, and neutrally decorated room, with grand pillars, and cascading chandeliers. The light again is amazing in this room, due to the large windows. The level of service is spot on, overseen by the funniest of characters, who always makes everyone roar with laughter, and the food is amazing.
After the meal, you and your guests venture out onto the Coat of Arms lounge, which leads out onto the steps and lawns, for a breathe of fresh air and if you fancy it … more photos.
Once the main ballroom is ready, you venture back in for a night of dancing under the chandeliers.
Have a look through the images below to get an idea of why I really love it here. A truly Epic Venue!!!
