So, this was a wedding with a difference, a vintage festival wedding!! It was so cute. Kirsten had though of absolutely everything, from personalised festival wrist bands, to cd’s of their favourite music, there wasn’t anything they hadn’t thought about. Tom & Kirsten married at St Johns Church in Old Coulsdon, a lovely ceremony with tea and home made cakes to follow. Then off everyone travelled on the big red bus, to one of my favourite venues, The Red Barn, an extremely quirky barn, situated near Lingfield in Surrey.
So, When a bride calls me to say they’d like to book me as their wedding photographer, and that they don’t even need to meet me because I’d come highly recommended, I most certainly feel dead chuffed and quite proud of myself!
Then, they tell you their plans, and you start thinking wooooooooaaaaahh!!! What an opportunity, to have THIS as your backdrop!!!
I’ve been meaning to write this blog for sometime now, Michelle & Tom got married in August, at one of my favourite venues Oaks Farm in Shirley, Croydon. It’s a fabulous venue, and to top it off the weather was gorgeous enough to have an outside ceremony. And what a lovely couple!! Michelle & Tom met at school, so being child hood sweethearts with their 2 little boys, finally decided to tie the knot. A great couple, and the relationship between them was lovely to watch through my lens!
Wow, wow, and triple WOW!!! I am totally and utterley in LOVE with this wedding! FACT!!! 🙂
I felt so excited and so over the moon at capturing this wedding. If anyone has seen me in action, they’ll know what I mean, but I actually felt like doing a little dance each time I looked at the LCD screen!
Nicola’s bridal preparations took place at the Oatlands Park Hotel, Weybridge, with a church service to follow at St John’s in Webridge.
Such a fantastic wedding! Dorton House is a superb venue, set in Sevenoaks, and at the time was a school for blind children. However, it was going through the process of being sold, and may not be a wedding venue anymore. Really great building! And to top it off, I had the lovliest of couples, who were surrounded by such great friends and families.
It had been possibly 21 years ago since I spoke to Cheryl, we used to go to the same school, so it was lovely when I got the email asking me to capture her wedding day! Seriously chuffed. I’m catching up on my blogging, as this wedding took place at the end of March, on a bitterly cold day, but the sun was shining! Cheryl & Jonathan held there day at the Complete Angler, in Marlow Bucks, a gorgeous hotel situated on the banks of the River Thames.
My first ever Brighton wedding!!! One of my favourite places, ever!! You’ve gotta love Brighton, the lanes, the beach, the pier, the quirky characters. So when Nick & Wendy asked me to photograph their wedding in Brighton, I jumped at the chance!!
A very relaxed wedding, a small party, with the ceremony and afternoon tea at The Grand. Love it!!! No evening entertainment, instead they had relaxed drinks in the bar. Every wedding I go to is so so different, in everyway. And this one was a cracker!
I knew this was going to be a lovely wedding, when I sat down to discuss the group shots, I had a feeling in my bones!!
Such a lovely couple. They did make me laugh, it was like role reversal, Rachel was the organised one, and Tom was the creative one, making all their decorations! You never see the guys doing that, it was lovely to see!
Back once again to one of my very favourite venues, Oaks Farm in Shirley. Tucked away in a little pocket in Croydon, this little Gem of a venue is overflowing with personality, and opportunities, to create the most amazing backdrop!
I met Glen and Elaine at a wedding fair, and felt i’d already built a lovely rapport with them both.
Now this was a wedding with some characters!! A wedding full of real heart felt laughter, some football chanting (massive, massive Palace fans!) and some amazing relationships with friends and family! Thoroughly enjoyed this day, to be honest – I do enjoy all my days, but I did laugh a lot at this wedding!!!
