Danielle & Duncan’s Autumn Wedding At Coltsford Mill

Sunday, January 15th, 2017

I luckily met Danielle & Duncan with all their family at the Coltsford Mill Wedding Fair.  Coltsford Mill is a venue with absolutely everything you could ever need.  A stunning venue with a contemporary barn, set in the grounds of an old Mill, with Lakes and waterfalls, bridges over streams, the list is endless.  I absolutely love working here.

Danielle got ready in the gorgeous cottage set within the grounds of Coltsford. surrounded by her parents and bridesmaids, very peaceful, and really quite a calm morning.   I do love it when a bride gets ready at the same venue, it means I can pop down and spend a lovely bit of time with the groomsmen too.

There are a couple of options where you can get married here, and these guys chose to tie the knot in the Mill Room, a cute cosy experience with the old mill as the backdrop.

It was such a lovely ceremony.  Off we popped outside, the weather was kind to us, and we were able to take all our pictures outside in the grounds.

I was absolutely in my element shooting Danielle and Duncan, I really could have taken images of them for the entire day.  They are stunning, and get along so well.  We didn’t venture very far off into the grounds, as the ground was a little muddy, so we stayed close to the barn, and made use of the beautiful autumnal colours.

After our posed images we ventured into the main barn, for our meal.  A bit of a bonus with my job, is that I get to taste all the scrumptious food, and trust me, at Coltsford Mill, it is always delicious.

The speeches were really funny, Dad, Duncan and his 2 best men did really well, and the laughter was loud.

Georgie & Kevins wedding at the Warren

Saturday, July 27th, 2013

I loved this wedding, full of really gorgeous characters!  Georgie got ready at her Mum and Dads house, all lovely and calm.  I do have to give a special mention to Georgies parents, purely for the fact that they were still completely in love with each other, so good to see it!!  Then onto the All Saint Church in Warlingham to tie the knot.  Once again, my most favourite chauffeur company was with us, Shirley Chauffeurs, seriously check them out, they provide a real top class service…. www.shirleychauffeurs.co.uk

The rain really wanted to make an appearance on their day, but, hats off to it, as it only started at times when it didn’t matter.  We’d literally just finished taking our pictures outside the church, and it started to rain just as Georgie was about to go into the church….. result!! :-) It was a lovely service, I wasn’t allowed to take images during the ceremony, but still managed to capture a couple of crackers coming up and down the aisle.

As we came out it was still raining, so with the help from Chris our Chauffeur who was at the ready with his large umberella, everyone stayed dry, and by the time we arrived at the venue, the rain had stopped!! Couldn’t have been luckier!  However, the skies were grey and we all had that feeling that I could have poured down at any moment!

The reception was held at The Warren, based in Hayes in Kent, it’s a fantastic venue.  Its actually the home of the sports and social club for the metropolitan police, but it’s a beautiful country house set in acres of land.

Have a little look through these gorgeous images, it was a real pleasure looking through and choosing them…….

Jean & Niels Nutfield Priory Wedding

Saturday, July 27th, 2013

Such a beautiful venue, based in Redhill, overlooking the surrey countryside, with stunning views and seriously stunning architecture, with a design based upon the palace of Westminster.

Jean got ready here at the priory, with the most amazingly spacious suite.  There ceremony was held here to, followed by drinks and canapés in the library.  This fabulous venue provided a fantastic backdrop for our posed images.  I always love it when everything is held under the same venue, it makes everything so relaxed, and I get so much more time to capture the true essence of the day.

The wedding breakfast was lovely and relaxed, lots of giggles coming from the brilliant characters!  The gorgeous cake was created by http://www.jeannettesgreatcakes.co.uk/.  After the meal, everybody spilled out onto the terrace overlooking the views, very relaxing indeed.

Take a little look for yourselves……

A Vintage Afternoon Tea for Nicola & Colin!

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013

Wow, wow, and triple WOW!!! I am totally and utterley in LOVE with this wedding!  FACT!!! :-)

I felt so excited and so over the moon at capturing this wedding.  If anyone has seen me in action, they’ll know what I mean, but I actually felt like doing a little dance each time I looked at the LCD screen!

Nicola’s bridal preparations took place at the Oatlands Park Hotel, Weybridge, with a church service to follow at St John’s in Webridge.  Unfortunately, I had a rather strict priest (to say the least!!!) who wouldn’t allow any images whatsoever of the ceremony! :-( Hey ho, ce la vie! I did feel a little gutted though, as I sat and watched these guys exchange their vows.

It was so lovely to have the sunshine making an appearance for us, although the rain did start, but luckily each time it did, it was at a time when it didn’t matter!

Back to one of my all time favourite venues, The Red Barn in Lingfield.  A quirky barn set in the surrey countryside.  A few more shots to capture the location, and inside we go, with a set up of bunting and vintage crockery, all ready for an afternoon of Cream Teas, and champagne.

I have to say, the speeches at this wedding, were some of the best i’d EVER heard!  I actually shed a tear behind the camera!  And then the best mans’ speeches, well they were hillarious, and just sooooo clever!

Some weddings there’s just so much to capture, with the beautiful details, and the superb characters.  Putting this blog together, I felt like I could have selected a million more images to share with you all!  Really lovely people, families who got on incredibly well, and friends who clearly thought the world of this lovely couple.

Have a look though these images, gorgeous gorgeous images of a couple that just fitted together absolutely perfectly!!

Glen & Elaine Wed at Oaks Farm

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

Back once again to one of my very favourite venues, Oaks Farm in Shirley.  Tucked away in a little pocket in Croydon, this little Gem of a venue is overflowing with personality, and opportunities, to create the most amazing backdrop!

I met Glen and Elaine at a wedding fair, and felt i’d already built a lovley rapport with them both.

Bridal preparations were held at the Orchard Cottage in the grounds of Oaks farm.  I was also able to pop over to capture of few images of the guys to, as absolutely everything was being held at the same venue……

Just a beautiful ceremony, and already the adorable personalities of everyone at this wedding are shining through… great crowd!!!

So as everyone spills outside, to mingle and have drinks, and as we begin to take our family shots, the weather can’t make it’s mind up!!  One minute it wants to rain, and the next the sun wants to make an appearance! Big pain in the backside, as we’re in and out, but no-one seems to mind all the guests are finding it quite funny!! Thankfully!! You do feel a bit guilty as a photographer, that it’s not just running smoothly, but thats one thing I certainly have no control over – the darn british weather!!!

blog72

And then of course, some shots of our gorgeous couple…..

blog73

So back into the barn we go, for a gorgeous meal…….

blog74

So, the rain had finally given in, and we were left with the most beautiful early evening sunlight!!!  Of course, another couple of cheeky shots were captured as everyone chilled out……

blog75

The evening party started, and I can honestly say, I have never seen a dance floor so packed before, and packed within minutes.  I absolutely love it, the energy coming from this crowd of fantastic characters was just great.  As soon as they played ‘Candy’ that was it, everyone was on there feet…….

It was an absolute pleasure photographing this wedding, and I sincerely hope we all meet again soon.

Androulla & Justin marry at Alexander House

Sunday, February 17th, 2013

Still catching up with my blogging, this beautiful wedding took place back in July, at the stunning Alexander House near in East Grinstead.

Absolutely everything was held here, which I just love.  Such a lovely couple, Androulla had THE most amazing eyes… like EVER!!! Now, when someone tells me that they don’t like being in front of the camera, I know it’s going to be a bit more of a challenge. But Justin did soooo well, even thought he told me he never smiles for pictures, we got some absolute crackers.

The bridal preparations were held in one of the stunning suites……

Then a few cheeky shots of Justin, before their ceremony began….

After the ceremony, everyone strolled round to the gardens, for drinks, canapes and mingling, while we captured a few family shots… an absolutely wonderful bunch of characters….

And then for some shots of our gorgeous couple, and I really could have just taken pictures of Anroulla and Justin for the entire day, but we had a schedule to stick to …..

Summer weddings are fantastic, when guests are able to pour outide while the room is being prepared for the evening.  It’s a great chance to grab a few more cheeky shots, of both my lovely couple and guests chilling……

And then back inside for the evenings fun, filled with Greek dancing, absolutely brilliant to watch, the energy was fantastic…..

Such a suberb day, it’s weddings like this that make me feel like i’ve got the most fantastic job in the world, gorgeous characters and great venues!

I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Chris & Stuart tie the knot at Bury Court Barn

Saturday, February 16th, 2013

This wedding was captured back in September, so forgive me for the delay in posting this blog, but i’m trying to have a major catch up!!! :-)

What a gorgeous venue!! Set in Farnham, Surrey, once a thriving hop farm, was transformed into an imaculate wedding venue back in 2002!  It has every a Bride and Groom could ever need.  Here’s a small selection of the images from the wedding…..

So, to capture the bridal preparations.  The most beautiful room, and Chris was an absolute pleasure to capture.  Just so natural, and at ease with the camera snapping away in the background.  The preparations were so calm, and the children were just so well behaved, gorgeous little characters…..

I love it went couples tell me that everthing is being held at the same venue, I almost give a little jump for joy!!    It gives me so much more time to capture the shots that I want to.  During the quieter moments of the preparations, I can normally pop into the see how the reception preparations are coming on.  These guys had put so much thought into their scheme, and I love their logo that they had designed……

And then to capture our lovely groom before the ceremony begins…..

The ceremony was lovely, and i’m totally enjoying photographing this wedding.  Stuart and Chris were so easy to capture, and the venue provided the perfect backdrop with the most amazing light flooding in…..

Rather unusually, Chris & Stuart had a welcome line-up, rather than your more traditional receiving line, which took place whilst guests enjoyed their welcoming drinks and canopes…..

So, time for some group shots, and a rather hillarious reaction when one of the ushers realised there was a tottenham garter involved….

And some shots of our very very gorgeous couple……

Then, time to relax and unwind with the reception.  I stay with you during your meal, dissapearing into the background, capturing the laughter and smiles amongst your guests…..

Then time for a couple of cheeky extras shots of our couple, before the evening fun begins……

I loved loved loved this wedding, and I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world guys.
