Danielle & Duncan’s Autumn Wedding At Coltsford Mill

Sunday, January 15th, 2017

I luckily met Danielle & Duncan with all their family at the Coltsford Mill Wedding Fair.  Coltsford Mill is a venue with absolutely everything you could ever need.  A stunning venue with a contemporary barn, set in the grounds of an old Mill, with Lakes and waterfalls, bridges over streams, the list is endless.  I absolutely love working here.

Danielle got ready in the gorgeous cottage set within the grounds of Coltsford. surrounded by her parents and bridesmaids, very peaceful, and really quite a calm morning.   I do love it when a bride gets ready at the same venue, it means I can pop down and spend a lovely bit of time with the groomsmen too.

There are a couple of options where you can get married here, and these guys chose to tie the knot in the Mill Room, a cute cosy experience with the old mill as the backdrop.

It was such a lovely ceremony.  Off we popped outside, the weather was kind to us, and we were able to take all our pictures outside in the grounds.

I was absolutely in my element shooting Danielle and Duncan, I really could have taken images of them for the entire day.  They are stunning, and get along so well.  We didn’t venture very far off into the grounds, as the ground was a little muddy, so we stayed close to the barn, and made use of the beautiful autumnal colours.

After our posed images we ventured into the main barn, for our meal.  A bit of a bonus with my job, is that I get to taste all the scrumptious food, and trust me, at Coltsford Mill, it is always delicious.

The speeches were really funny, Dad, Duncan and his 2 best men did really well, and the laughter was loud.

A Cooling Castle wedding for the Gorgeous Tom & Rachel

Saturday, March 2nd, 2013

I knew this was going to be a lovely wedding, when I sat down to discuss the group shots, I had a feeling in my bones!!

Such a lovely couple.  They did make me laugh, it was like role reversal, Rachel was the organised one, and Tom was the creative one, making all their decorations!  You never see the guys doing that, it was lovely to see!

One thing was sure about this wedding, they certainly had the right attitude, they just wanted to have a fun day, and that they did!

We started out at Rachels mums house, whilst the girls got their make-up and hair done, and then took a drive over to the stunning Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester, where the girls finished getting ready in the bridal suite.  Wow I love this venue!  The turrets and a few walls still remain from the original castle, and the barn & converted tractor sheds are absolutely amazing!!  This venue has perfected everything, it’s immaculate.

So here are a few shots of my gorgeous girlies getting ready, all very relaxed…….

So, the equally gorgeous guys were ready, and of course, a few cheeky shots of them too before the action kicks off……

So, our lovely Rachel was making her way round, everyone was ushered in, whilst being soothed by the sounds of Fiona their harpist (www.harpist.uk.com), it was a lovely ceremony.  I have to say the registrar gave probably the best ceremony I’ve ever seen, he was like an actor performing, it was great!!

Lovely ceremony!  For such a cold February day, the sun was actually really powerful, and when I saw that there was a humungous cloud blocking the sunshine, I whipped them outside before it dissappeared.  Photographers, we’re never happy with the weather, but give us a bit of cloud and we’re well away!! :-) So, for some shots of our gorgeous couple.  I really could have just carried on taking pictures of these 2 lovelies for like…ever!!  But we had a schedule to stick too, have a little peek at my favs……

Seriously gorgeous!!!   So time for a few group shots, while their guests mingled with drinks inside in the warm.

Gorgeous characters!  There are just soooooo many images that I want to show you all from this wedding.  So we musn’t forget about capturing all those lovely details of the venue and the reception….

blog85

I stay with you throughout your meal, capturing you and your guests chilling and having what they came for, a darn good bit of fun.  Great characters at this wedding.  Tom and Rachel chose designated carvers for each of their tables, quirky fun idea!

Here’s a selection….

Jacqui & Joe Marry at Coltsfold Mill

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

Back in May 2012, I had the pleasure in photographing this gorgeous couples wedding.  What a lovely couple they were too, and I have to say 1 thing, Darn I wished I had this womens genes, because Jacqui was absolutely gorgeous (and Jo was too mind you!!).

Coltsford Mill is based in Oxted, Surrey, and actually has an old mill within the grounds and an immaculate Barn, definately one of my favourite wedding locations.

The ceremony was lovely, with readings from her Grandsons which brought a tear to everyones eyes.  I didn’t want to stop taking pictures of this lovely couple, and with Joe’s sense of humour…. I didn’t stop giggling all day!

If you love the flowers, have a chat with Shelley from Muscari Whites, her work is always amazing.

The Barn at Coltsford mill is just perfect for your meal, the light that floods in through the windows makes it very easy work for me…. I love it.  Jacqui and Joe were really creative and had some really quirky little ideas…… loved the table plan…. I want one!

Laughter…. the perfect recipe for a happy life!!!!

Summer weddings….. that early evening period when the the room is being turned around for the evenuing party…..my absolute favourite time of the day!!!  The light at this time of the day is just perfect in everyway possible, oh, and the fact that the wine has been flowing generally helps too! ;-)

Grandchildren…. you’ve gotta just love them!  Just like their Nanny, absolutely full of smiles and laughter!!  Amazing what amusement a little accessory like a hat can bring….

And then to complete a very very perfect day for 2 seriously adorable people, the first dance….. followed by some seriously funky moves to get the dancing going!  I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world guys xxxx
