A gorgeous Brighton wedding for Nick & Wendy

Monday, March 11th, 2013

My first ever Brighton wedding!!! One of my favourite places, ever!!  You’ve gotta love Brighton, the lanes, the beach, the pier, the quirky characters.  So when Nick & Wendy asked me to photograph their wedding in Brighton, I jumped at the chance!!

A very relaxed wedding, a small party, with the ceremony and afternoon tea at The Grand.  Love it!!!  No evening entertainment, instead they had relaxed drinks in the bar.  Every wedding I go to is so so different, in everyway.  And this one was a cracker!

Both Wendy & Nick told me that they didn’t like having thier pictures taken, but talk about naturals in front of the camera!

We started off with the bridal preparations, in a gorgeous room at The Grand, the light flooding into this room was amazing……

Nick was getting ready in the room next door, so I was able to pop in during a little quite spell at the preparations……

Great characters, and then back into our gorgeous girlies whilst wendy got into her dress, check out her red lipstick, the most amazing lips!!…..

And so we were off, down the great staircase to the ceremony……

blog4

So, time for our group shots and it was absolutely freezing outside!! So we decided to keep all the guests inside in the warm for our group images…..

blog5

Oooooooh, so it’s time for some images of our lovely couple, and where do I start……… I have BRIGHTON as a backdrop!! Get in there!! :-) If only I had a little more time.  Nick and Wendy were great, and I really could have taken a million more pictures of them, but we had to get back before they sent out the search party!  Wendy’s legs turned a slight shade of blue from the cold, but she was absolutely buzzing from the day, and I think they too could have stayed posing for ages too, despite being frozen!!!

blog6

Absolutely gorgeous, and ever so frozen!!!  So, off inside for afternoon tea and some mingling…….

My Gorgeous Digital Art Albums

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

One of the most beautiful sights for a photographer, is to actually see their work finished in an album!  It’s great receiving your images on a disc, but in my own personal opinion, nothing is better than holding your treasured images in your hands, presented in a beautiful handcrafted digital Art Album, which opens out to show the story of the most amazing day of your life!

My stunning albums are handcrafted with hard backed pages to ensure durability and longevity. The albums open flat with full double-page edge-to-edge panoramic printing.  The quality is amazing.

I thought I would share with you my latest sample album.  Have a little look, to get an idea.  Lots of different options, and the worlds your oyster when it comes to styles/cover colours/materials.  But this will give you an idea, of what you could acheive……

A Cooling Castle wedding for the Gorgeous Tom & Rachel

Saturday, March 2nd, 2013

I knew this was going to be a lovely wedding, when I sat down to discuss the group shots, I had a feeling in my bones!!

Such a lovely couple.  They did make me laugh, it was like role reversal, Rachel was the organised one, and Tom was the creative one, making all their decorations!  You never see the guys doing that, it was lovely to see!

One thing was sure about this wedding, they certainly had the right attitude, they just wanted to have a fun day, and that they did!

We started out at Rachels mums house, whilst the girls got their make-up and hair done, and then took a drive over to the stunning Cooling Castle Barn in Rochester, where the girls finished getting ready in the bridal suite.  Wow I love this venue!  The turrets and a few walls still remain from the original castle, and the barn & converted tractor sheds are absolutely amazing!!  This venue has perfected everything, it’s immaculate.

So here are a few shots of my gorgeous girlies getting ready, all very relaxed…….

So, the equally gorgeous guys were ready, and of course, a few cheeky shots of them too before the action kicks off……

So, our lovely Rachel was making her way round, everyone was ushered in, whilst being soothed by the sounds of Fiona their harpist (www.harpist.uk.com), it was a lovely ceremony.  I have to say the registrar gave probably the best ceremony I’ve ever seen, he was like an actor performing, it was great!!

blog82

Lovely ceremony!  For such a cold February day, the sun was actually really powerful, and when I saw that there was a humungous cloud blocking the sunshine, I whipped them outside before it dissappeared.  Photographers, we’re never happy with the weather, but give us a bit of cloud and we’re well away!! :-) So, for some shots of our gorgeous couple.  I really could have just carried on taking pictures of these 2 lovelies for like…ever!!  But we had a schedule to stick too, have a little peek at my favs……

blog83

Seriously gorgeous!!!   So time for a few group shots, while their guests mingled with drinks inside in the warm.

blog84

Gorgeous characters!  There are just soooooo many images that I want to show you all from this wedding.  So we musn’t forget about capturing all those lovely details of the venue and the reception….

blog85

I stay with you throughout your meal, capturing you and your guests chilling and having what they came for, a darn good bit of fun.  Great characters at this wedding.  Tom and Rachel chose designated carvers for each of their tables, quirky fun idea!

Here’s a selection….
