Glen & Elaine Wed at Oaks Farm

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

Back once again to one of my very favourite venues, Oaks Farm in Shirley.  Tucked away in a little pocket in Croydon, this little Gem of a venue is overflowing with personality, and opportunities, to create the most amazing backdrop!

I met Glen and Elaine at a wedding fair, and felt i’d already built a lovley rapport with them both.

Bridal preparations were held at the Orchard Cottage in the grounds of Oaks farm.  I was also able to pop over to capture of few images of the guys to, as absolutely everything was being held at the same venue……

Just a beautiful ceremony, and already the adorable personalities of everyone at this wedding are shining through… great crowd!!!

So as everyone spills outside, to mingle and have drinks, and as we begin to take our family shots, the weather can’t make it’s mind up!!  One minute it wants to rain, and the next the sun wants to make an appearance! Big pain in the backside, as we’re in and out, but no-one seems to mind all the guests are finding it quite funny!! Thankfully!! You do feel a bit guilty as a photographer, that it’s not just running smoothly, but thats one thing I certainly have no control over – the darn british weather!!!

And then of course, some shots of our gorgeous couple…..

So back into the barn we go, for a gorgeous meal…….

So, the rain had finally given in, and we were left with the most beautiful early evening sunlight!!!  Of course, another couple of cheeky shots were captured as everyone chilled out……

The evening party started, and I can honestly say, I have never seen a dance floor so packed before, and packed within minutes.  I absolutely love it, the energy coming from this crowd of fantastic characters was just great.  As soon as they played ‘Candy’ that was it, everyone was on there feet…….

It was an absolute pleasure photographing this wedding, and I sincerely hope we all meet again soon.

Georgies Treasure Hunt Photoshoot

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

So, what do we do when we have a little poppet, whose 3 years old, and certainly doesn’t want to stay still or have her picture taken???? Well, we simply just follow her, and join in with her adventure, which just so happened to be going on an adventure to find the missing Treasure Chest!!! :-) Well, I did kind of strike a deal with her, a tiny quick little pose (and I mean REALLY quick!!) in exchange for the next leg of her adventure!!!  Bless her little heart!!  All this while her little sister, decided it would be a good time to sleep!!!

Have a little look……..

I love a family photoshoot, out in the open, breathing the fresh air.  And i love it even more when I have a really gorgeous family to capture.

Sarah & Brad tie the knot at the Coulsdon Manor

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013

I first met Sarah & Brad at a wedding fair, along with their parents, and I instantly warmed to them, this was a wedding that I was looking forward to already!!!

Unusually, I firstly popped along to the groom preparations , as Brads parents were only 2 minutes away from the venue.  The guys were amazing, and just the youngest looking Mum, EVER!!!……

Then a short drive over to Coulsdon manor to the Bridal Preparations…………..

The girls were absolutely gorgeous, and the atmosphere was incredibly calm and relaxed.  So back in the car, and another short drive over to church, St John the Baptist in Purley this time , for a lovely ceremony……

So, back to the Coulsdon Manor.  I have to say, the characters of Sarah & Brad were brilliant, they both have an energy about them, that just makes everyone smile around them!!!  The guests chilled in the sunshine with their drinks, while we cracked on with our family shots…..

And of course, some of our gorgeous couple…..

Then inside into the lovely Blenheim suite, and the party was underway…..

So the room was being prepared for the evenings antics, and the light outside was begining to fade, so off we went for a few more cheeky shots……

And so the dancing started, and it didn’t stop…. love it! Such a great crowd, such great fun…..

Such a fantastic wedding, definately one of my favourties, purely because of the adorable characters!!!

Lucy & Mike tie the knot at the Selsdon Park Hotel

Monday, February 18th, 2013

Now this was a wedding with some characters!! A wedding full of real heart felt laughter, some football chanting (massive, massive Palace fans!) and some amazing relationships with friends and family!  Thoroughly enjoyed this day, to be honest – I do enjoy all my days, but I did laugh a lot at this wedding!!!

Set at the Stunning Selsdon Park Hotel, in Croydon, great venue, back in July (i’m catching up with my blogging)….

Then a short drive off to  St Domonics Church in Waddon for a lovely service…..

Then back to the lovely Selsdon Park Hotel, for some family shots.  We didn’t have a huge amount of time, but we knew we could grab some more shots after the meal.  The sun was sooooo hot, poor Lucy actually ended up getting sunburnt! Note to summer brides – remember the suntan lotion :-) ………

Moving inside to enjoy the meal, and the laughter didn’t stop! Love it!  The colour scheme was fantastic, really bright and vibrant……

So, while the room gets prepared for the evenings fun, everyone spills out onto the terrace for some early evening chilling, and some more posing, although we did have 1 bright red sunburned shoulder and  a rather tipsy groom by this stage :-) …….

And so the evening fun begins……

An absolutely brilliant wedding that will definately stay close to my heart!!!

Little Malone got big!!!

Monday, February 18th, 2013

I first met Malone on her 1st birthday, and so 3 years on, little Malone’s growing up!!!

This photoshoot was taken back in September (Catching up with my blogging!!), and I love the images from this shoot!  Malone when she arrived, certainly wasn’t in the mood for posing.  But, this is what’s nice about my photoshoots, theres no rush.  I said, don’t worry, lets just go for a stroll.  So out come the bubbles, and we all begin to chill!

The key to any great photoshoot, is the amount of energy the parents put in, no one knows your child better, and no one can make your child giggle hysterically like you can.  Clair & Ricky were absolutely brilliant, running around, chasing, creeping up, great fun, and the pictures just prove that……..

If you would also like to capture some memories like these, check out for more information, hope to meet you soon.

Androulla & Justin marry at Alexander House

Sunday, February 17th, 2013

Still catching up with my blogging, this beautiful wedding took place back in July, at the stunning Alexander House near in East Grinstead.

Absolutely everything was held here, which I just love.  Such a lovely couple, Androulla had THE most amazing eyes… like EVER!!! Now, when someone tells me that they don’t like being in front of the camera, I know it’s going to be a bit more of a challenge. But Justin did soooo well, even thought he told me he never smiles for pictures, we got some absolute crackers.

The bridal preparations were held in one of the stunning suites……

Then a few cheeky shots of Justin, before their ceremony began….

After the ceremony, everyone strolled round to the gardens, for drinks, canapes and mingling, while we captured a few family shots… an absolutely wonderful bunch of characters….

And then for some shots of our gorgeous couple, and I really could have just taken pictures of Anroulla and Justin for the entire day, but we had a schedule to stick to …..

Summer weddings are fantastic, when guests are able to pour outide while the room is being prepared for the evening.  It’s a great chance to grab a few more cheeky shots, of both my lovely couple and guests chilling……

And then back inside for the evenings fun, filled with Greek dancing, absolutely brilliant to watch, the energy was fantastic…..

Such a suberb day, it’s weddings like this that make me feel like i’ve got the most fantastic job in the world, gorgeous characters and great venues!

I wish you all the happiness in the world.

A Country Afternoon Tea for Nick & Rachel

Sunday, February 17th, 2013

Now this was a wedding with a difference, a wedding which involved afternoon tea, cricket, games on the lawn, bouncy castles.  Rachel & Nick just wanted everyone to chill & join in with the games!  It was just a superb day, and amazingly, it absolutely tipped it down either side of this day, but someone was looking out for these guys as the sun was out in full force!  It was lovely seeing Nick and all his family again, I’d covered his brothers wedding a couple of years before, so it was lovely to see he’d met a gorgeous lady Rachel and her 2 adorable children.

This wedding took place back in July (i’m catching up on my blogging!!)  at the beautiful Dodford Manor, Northamptonshire……

The Bridal Preparations took place at the manor, all very relaxed, loads of time to take pictures of all the special details which made the reception even more special!  Rachels little boy popped to the pub with the boys, and her little girl chilled out, testing out the games area!

The over to Dodford church, to meet the lovely guys, and for a cracking ceremony…..

The confetti throwing was fantasitc, down in the country village of Dodford.  Followed by a couple of images of this gorgeous family, and a casual stroll back up to the Manor….

Then back to Dodford Manor, where afternoon tea was in full swing!  Such a cracking afternoon, so relaxing for guests, time for a some mingling, some games, some chilling and some posed photographs, all while afternoon tea was being served……

Time for some pictures of our lovely Rachel and Nick…….

So then time for some heart felt speaches, and yes…. some more chilling… love it :-)

And then for some serious dancing action……

This wedding seems like such a long time ago now, but looking back through your collection has been an absolute delight.  You were all sooooo lovely to be around, and I know your day is going to stay very close to my heart.  I admire the way that Nick has become part of this gorgeous family, and you really are all perfect for each other.  I wish you all the happiness in the world.  Stay in contact guys….

Amanda & Andrew Return from Down Under to tie the knot

Sunday, February 17th, 2013

Back in July, Amanda & Andrew returned from Australia, to marry in the company of all their friends and family.  A wedding that had been totally organised by Amandas mum, she’d given her the type of ideas that she wanted, and her Mum cracked on with it, what a lovely lady!!

It was a gorgeous day, held at one of my favourite venues, Oaks Farm in Shirley, Surrey.  A perfect venue, with everything you ever need!

Bridal preparations were held at Amandas parents house……

I knew this was going to be such a gorgeous day,  I’d already spent the morning with some genuinly really lovely characters, with lots of laughter!  They were all so relaxed and so photogenic.  So it was no suprise, to arrive at Oaks Farm to find some more loveable guys!

As the friends and family were ushered in, we waited for the arrival of our gorgeous bride……

And then some images of our lovely lovely couple…. I could work with these 2 forever!!  The bond/relationship between them was fantastic…..

Then onto the reception, with lots of giggles while the wine flowed….

I love summer weddings,  the light just before the 1st dances is just simply beautiful.  It’s a fantastic time to take some more images, and often quite nice to capture people mingling, or to get some shots of your guests with their families……

And then onto the evenings shananigans!!!  A fantastic evening was underway within seconds!!!….

This is definately going to go down as one of my favourite weddings…. purely for the laughter and the loveable characters!!!
