Lucie & Dean marry at West Heath School, Sevenoaks

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

West Heath School was actually princess Dianas school, and is a property now owned by Muhammed Al Fyed.  The school is open during the school holidays as a wedding venue, and it’s a truely beautiful venue.  So what else do I need to top off a cracking venue…. an equally gorgeous couple… and Voila!!!! I had the pleasure of photographing Lucie & Deans wedding back in June 2012.

Lucie got ready at her parents house, it was so nice there I was considering dropping by with my suitcase and moving in… if only!!!

It was busy busy busy at the bridal preparations, but when a Dad spends hours the day before perfecting his lawn for the big day, you’ve got to venture outside for a couple of cheeky shots to make the most of it…..

So, onto West Heath School I go, to find a groom with the coolest pair of shoes!!!  Love ‘em!

I even had time for a couple of shots of the bridesmaids before going inside to find the ceremony room all set up, and a string quartet ready and raring to go…. great touch!

The guests were ushered in, and it was time for Lucie and her Dad to walk down the great staircase, to find Lucies mum waiting at the bottom of the stairs…. all very emotional!

And so they became Mr & Mrs…..

These guys were actually really shy in front of the camera, Lucie had a lovely timid personality, but ‘worked that camera’ and I was able to create some truely amazing shots.

Ooooooo, I could work with these 2 forever……

The reception was under way, with plenty of laughter.  Being with everyone for the whole day, generally gives me the chance to capture friends and family and all the fun of the day.  Their vibrant colour scheme carried on through to the reception.  If you like the flowers and all accessories from this wedding, check out Flowers and Sparkle, who are based in Sevenoaks,, their work is always amazing.

And the lovely summer sun allowed us to get a couple of extra cheeky little shots just before first dances!!!  For such a shy lady… wow!! They’re stunning xx

Truely beautiful!  And now time for our first dance.  You’re such a lovely couple, and I wish you all the luck and happiness that life can bring you both.

Jackie & Jon, Croydon Registry Office/Botley Farm House

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

Jackie and Jon tied the knot in May 2012, at The Croydon Registry Office.  Such a lovely couple, who I instantly warmed to.  This is a  couple who hadn’t particular been blessed with health, as Jon was battling cancer, and the wedding took place in between treatments! But they were certainly blessed with love for each other though, lovely!!

The Queens gardens just outside of the registry provide a beautiful backdrop…

Then onto the Botley Farmhouse, a 16th century farmhouse based just near Warlingham, Surrey.  A very relaxed get together, just for a few hours so that they could celebrate with their friends and family.

A cheeky chance to get a few more gorgeous images, the bluebells were beautiful…. I do love a bit of spring!! …….

To round the afternoon off, the speeches got off the ground….. Speeches from both Jackie and Jon, such characters.

I wish you all the happiness and luck in the world guys xxx

Danielle & David, Surrey Downs Golf Club

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

I have had such a lovely year of being around such gorgeous people!!  I can’t beleive I’ve taken so long to blog this, this wedding was all the way back in May!!

It’s always lovely when a couple book me to cover the groom preparations aswell.  It’s not always possible, but when the groom lives close enough to the action, we can sometimes squeeze in a little time, and it was a lovely way for me to get the know Davids family too.

So then on to my lovely brides house.  The colours of this wedding were just scrumptious, and a right result that the decor of the bedroom matched the colour scheme, brilliant!   Danielle was very easy to capture, very naturally photogenic, with amazing skin!

These guys tied the knot at St Peters in Woodmansterne, which is a stunning church.

So it was the first time i’d ever been to Surrey Downs Golf Club in Kingswood, Surrey.  What a great venue, inside it was immaculate, great decoration, and outside there where endless possibilities for backdrops.

So onto our reception….. The Cadburys purple theme carried on through to the reception, if you love the flowers, check out Lucy Holdsworth, she’s covered the floristry at many of my weddings, and her work never fails to be beautifully eye catching.

The good thing about booking me for the whole day, is that I capture your guests enjoying themselves too, which really helps to bring back the feelings of the atmosphere of your day.

And not forgetting the speeches….. you can’t beat a good giggle.

I consider myself to be a real friendly character, and I always make friends and family feel very welcome to come to me to also get a shot whilst they’re also looking so glamorous!

And on to the first dance, a lovely intimate moment that I love to capture….. always followed by some crazy Dad dancing!! Love it :-) You can’t beat  a good character, and there were some great ones at this wedding.

I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world guys xx

Jacqui & Joe Marry at Coltsfold Mill

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

Back in May 2012, I had the pleasure in photographing this gorgeous couples wedding.  What a lovely couple they were too, and I have to say 1 thing, Darn I wished I had this womens genes, because Jacqui was absolutely gorgeous (and Jo was too mind you!!).

Coltsford Mill is based in Oxted, Surrey, and actually has an old mill within the grounds and an immaculate Barn, definately one of my favourite wedding locations.

The ceremony was lovely, with readings from her Grandsons which brought a tear to everyones eyes.  I didn’t want to stop taking pictures of this lovely couple, and with Joe’s sense of humour…. I didn’t stop giggling all day!

If you love the flowers, have a chat with Shelley from Muscari Whites, her work is always amazing.

The Barn at Coltsford mill is just perfect for your meal, the light that floods in through the windows makes it very easy work for me…. I love it.  Jacqui and Joe were really creative and had some really quirky little ideas…… loved the table plan…. I want one!

Laughter…. the perfect recipe for a happy life!!!!

Summer weddings….. that early evening period when the the room is being turned around for the evenuing party… absolute favourite time of the day!!!  The light at this time of the day is just perfect in everyway possible, oh, and the fact that the wine has been flowing generally helps too! ;-)

Grandchildren…. you’ve gotta just love them!  Just like their Nanny, absolutely full of smiles and laughter!!  Amazing what amusement a little accessory like a hat can bring….

And then to complete a very very perfect day for 2 seriously adorable people, the first dance….. followed by some seriously funky moves to get the dancing going!  I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world guys xxxx
