Scott & Cheryl’s Rustic Themed Wedding at Farleigh

January 17th, 2017

Oh I could have easily added a trillion billion images to this blog, so many shots of such a fantastic wedding.   If i’m honest, I was a little nervous about shooting this wedding, as I wanted to do such a great job for these guys.  I’ve known Scott and his family for years, from my childhood, so it was a real personal pleasure to capture this wedding,  and I felt really honoured to have been asked!!   Plus, it was at the fabulous Farleigh, a super venue that’s dear to my heart, a venue that is so supportive of me, by recommending me on a regular basis, which i’m so grateful for!

So Our lovely Cheryl got ready at home, and considering how many bridesmaids she had, it was such a calm house, and of course if makes my job so easy when they’re all as gorgeous as these lovely ladies!!

blog1

With everyone ready and looking stunning, off I went to meet Scott at the church, All Saints in Sanderstead, Surrey.  Good to see you scrub up pretty darn well too Mr!!  Their vows were said, their rings exchanged, and with a lovely ceremony, their happily ever after was off too a flying start!

blog2

blog3

We arrived at the very brilliant Farleigh, which boasted an amazing rustic makeover.  There wasn’t a single thing that these guys hadn’t thought of!  Hats off to Sam Donovan I beleive, it’s certainly a huge bonus when your sister just so happens to be the wedding co-ordinator at your venue.

blog4

After chilling out in the gorgeous sunshine, with drinks, cookies, milkshakes, scones, we were ready to capture our posed photos.

blog5

Just lovely.  Off everyone ventured inside to start our gorgeous meal,  the food was delicious (rather fantastic bonus of my job i’d say, is that I get try out the food).  Farleigh has The Inked Chef on board, and his food is Delicious with a big fat capital D!!!  I love this time in the day, shooting from a distance, capturing the fun and laughter while guests mingle and chat at the tables.

blog6

Oh look! That last pic is me he he!  Gotta love a guest who steals my camera.  The speeches were great,  tears were certainly shed!!

blog7

So, the wedding breakfast came to a close, and everyone ventured outside, the sun was fading, and the funky lights came into action, which made for a lovely atmosphere for the guests, whilst they were entertained by the magician.

blog8

And the evening shenanigans were off, with the dancefloor packed, but then I wouldn’t expect anything less when they have the fabulous Dean DJ Elite to keep the music flowing!

blog9

Scott and Cheryl, I soooooo enjoyed capturing your wedding, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your day.  Thanks to Farleigh for looking after me so well.

Thanks for reading, if you’d like to have a chat about the photography for your own day, please do give me a call for a chat.

Take care

Danielle & Duncan’s Autumn Wedding At Coltsford Mill

January 15th, 2017

I luckily met Danielle & Duncan with all their family at the Coltsford Mill Wedding Fair.  Coltsford Mill is a venue with absolutely everything you could ever need.  A stunning venue with a contemporary barn, set in the grounds of an old Mill, with Lakes and waterfalls, bridges over streams, the list is endless.  I absolutely love working here.

Danielle got ready in the gorgeous cottage set within the grounds of Coltsford. surrounded by her parents and bridesmaids, very peaceful, and really quite a calm morning.   I do love it when a bride gets ready at the same venue, it means I can pop down and spend a lovely bit of time with the groomsmen too.

blog1

There are a couple of options where you can get married here, and these guys chose to tie the knot in the Mill Room, a cute cosy experience with the old mill as the backdrop.

blog2

It was such a lovely ceremony.  Off we popped outside, the weather was kind to us, and we were able to take all our pictures outside in the grounds.

I was absolutely in my element shooting Danielle and Duncan, I really could have taken images of them for the entire day.  They are stunning, and get along so well.  We didn’t venture very far off into the grounds, as the ground was a little muddy, so we stayed close to the barn, and made use of the beautiful autumnal colours.

After our posed images we ventured into the main barn, for our meal.  A bit of a bonus with my job, is that I get to taste all the scrumptious food, and trust me, at Coltsford Mill, it is always delicious.

The speeches were really funny, Dad, Duncan and his 2 best men did really well, and the laughter was loud.

Tom & Kirsten’s Vintage Meadowcroft Festival Wedding at the Red Barn

January 30th, 2015

So, this was a wedding with a difference, a vintage festival wedding!!  It was so cute.  Kirsten had though of absolutely everything, from personalised festival wrist bands, to cd’s of their favourite music, there wasn’t anything they hadn’t thought about.  Tom & Kirsten married at St Johns Church in Old Coulsdon, a lovely ceremony with tea and home made cakes to follow.  Then off everyone travelled on the big red bus, to one of my favourite venues, The Red Barn, an extremely quirky barn, situated near Lingfield in Surrey.

Everyone gathered in the paddock, for drinks, games, and even a spot of cricket.  Such a relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was served inside the barn, and the evening entertainment was provided by Dad on the decs, a job very well done indeed!!     Take a look through the images, it was a fantastic day.

Claire & Jamie’s beautiful Winter Wedding at Wooton House

January 22nd, 2014

I was delighted when Claire & Jamie asked me to photograph their wedding, as I’d met them both a couple of years back when I photographed Claire’s brother’s wedding, so it was lovely to be back with her family again.  And even more delighted to find out that the wedding was to be held at Wooton House, in Dorking, Surrey.  A Country House Hotel, with stunning architecture, which boasts a Roman style temple and an old Library which feels like you’re in a chapel at a church.

Claire & Jamie both got ready at the hotel, which makes it so so easy on the day.  The ceremony was held in The Old Library, which was a stunning chapel, lowly light with purple uplighters into the arches and twinkle lights surrounding all the pillars, the effect was gorgeous.  That teamed with some really personal words from the registra made a beautiful ceremony.

Blog Collage-1390393601810 2

We were running over time at this stage, as Claire was a little late for her ceremony (but hey, if you can’t be fashionably late for your ceremony, when can you be!?)  So off out into the cold December weather we went, working incredibly fast to ensure we covered what we needed before the sun started to disappear, and trust me, it was disappearing very fast indeed!!  Claire and Jamie were both lovely to photograph, very relaxed, and it helped that they’re both incredibly gorgeous too!!!  If only I had more time, as there were a million more places I could have taken them within these stunning grounds.   Have a little look, I loved capturing these guys……

3

Great shots, and everyone was a pleasure to organise.  So, back into the warm we all went, and the wine started flowing and the giggles to begin, and the guests became naughtier! ha!!

4

And the party got off the ground…..

Claire and Jamie, thank you so much for letting me share your day with you, you’re a fantastic couple.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and sincerely hope that we stay in touch now that there’s no more weddings in the family.

Hanna & Daniels most AMAZING Hever Castle Wedding!

September 29th, 2013

So, When a bride calls me to say they’d like to book me as their wedding photographer, and that they don’t even need to meet me because I’d come highly recommended, I most certainly feel dead chuffed and quite proud of myself!

Then, they tell you their plans, and you start thinking wooooooooaaaaahh!!! What an opportunity, to have THIS as your backdrop!!!

blog1

And then you start feeling quite nervous deep inside!!  You have one chance to get this spot on, and do this wedding the justice that it deserved!  That combined with a day that was supposed to be raining the entire day, and a bride that knows EXACTLY how she wants things done, eh Hanna!!  The pressure was on. HA!   I then notice my bride has just liked my facebook page, so I get to have a sneaky peek at their profile picture.  And you think, get in there!! Ha! Not only have I got a whoppingly wonderful venue, but a pretty good looking couple to match it!!!

So, Hanna got ready at her mums house, a very relaxed morning, and off to Hever Castle we went.  Hanna and Daniel held their ceremony on the Loggia, overlooking the lake.  Absolutely stunning and tranquil, with the harpist playing in the background, and ducks walking through!  It was a late ceremony, at 4.30pm.  And what looked like a day that was going to be full of rain, suddenly at about 4pm, the clouds parted and we actually ended up with  a glorious day and the sunshine made an appearance!  No umbrella’s required whatsoever.

After the ceremony, we covered the group shots, and I was then able to disappeared off with Hanna and Daniel, whilst their guests enjoyed their drinks over looking the lake.  The pressure was on again, so so so many opportunities for backdrops, so many ideas of where we could go, and so little time to cover the vast grounds!  Hanna and Daniel were troupers, they were determined to cover it all, and off we all went for a brisk journey through the stunning grounds of Hever, to finish just as the sun was starting to set.

Back inside we went, into the Guthrie Pavillion for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.  Hanna and Daniels families are both Italian, so with the vibrant characters filling the room, the laughter flowed throughout.  It was lovely to watch the close relationships between everyone.

Such a fantastic wedding, and I could have actually chosen a million images to show you  from this lovely day, but have a look for yourself, here’s just some of my favourites from the day….. enjoy…..

A Vintage Oaks Farm Wonderland for Michelle & Tom

September 27th, 2013

I’ve been meaning to write this blog for sometime now, Michelle & Tom got married in August, at one of my favourite venues Oaks Farm in Shirley, Croydon.  It’s a fabulous venue, and to top it off the weather was gorgeous enough to have an outside ceremony.  And what a lovely couple!! Michelle & Tom met at school, so being child hood sweethearts with their 2 little boys, finally decided to tie the knot.  A great couple, and the relationship between them was lovely to watch through my lens!

Michelle got ready at the Selsdon Park Hotel, in a lovely spacious room.  Michelle’s hair was created by Sam Morgan of Chrysalis Hair & Beauty, and did a fantastic job, like she does everytime I have the pleasure of working with her.

Shelly from Muscari Whites florist, as always created the most spectacular sites.  Shelly was given free reign to create anything she liked within Michelles colour scheme, and the ideas just flowed.  See for yourself, there was something different to look at everytime you turned your head!!

This wedding was an absolute cracker, full of really great characters, with banter flowing and giggles and laughter all around.  Have a look for yourself, just lovely!!…….

A Gorgeous Christening for little Sonny

August 6th, 2013

It was such a pleasure seeing this gorgeous family again.  I shot Sarah & Brads wedding last year, and was over the moon when Brads sister Kimberley, booked me to cover her little mans christening.  It was so so lovely seeing all the same faces from the wedding!  Great characters, and a family that are just amazingly close, and a family which know how to giggle with each other.  It’s a pleasure standing back and watching the closeness of these guys from behind my lens!

Little Sonny was Christened at St Barnabas Church in Coulsdon, and the vicar was just lovely, he had a superb manner about him.  Sonny enjoyed himself, and even looked like he wanted more water over him!! Bless!

Have a little look for yourselves, it was a lovely afternoon…..

Georgie & Kevins wedding at the Warren

July 27th, 2013

I loved this wedding, full of really gorgeous characters!  Georgie got ready at her Mum and Dads house, all lovely and calm.  I do have to give a special mention to Georgies parents, purely for the fact that they were still completely in love with each other, so good to see it!!  Then onto the All Saint Church in Warlingham to tie the knot.  Once again, my most favourite chauffeur company was with us, Shirley Chauffeurs, seriously check them out, they provide a real top class service…. www.shirleychauffeurs.co.uk

The rain really wanted to make an appearance on their day, but, hats off to it, as it only started at times when it didn’t matter.  We’d literally just finished taking our pictures outside the church, and it started to rain just as Georgie was about to go into the church….. result!! :-) It was a lovely service, I wasn’t allowed to take images during the ceremony, but still managed to capture a couple of crackers coming up and down the aisle.

As we came out it was still raining, so with the help from Chris our Chauffeur who was at the ready with his large umberella, everyone stayed dry, and by the time we arrived at the venue, the rain had stopped!! Couldn’t have been luckier!  However, the skies were grey and we all had that feeling that I could have poured down at any moment!

The reception was held at The Warren, based in Hayes in Kent, it’s a fantastic venue.  Its actually the home of the sports and social club for the metropolitan police, but it’s a beautiful country house set in acres of land.

Have a little look through these gorgeous images, it was a real pleasure looking through and choosing them…….

Jean & Niels Nutfield Priory Wedding

July 27th, 2013

Such a beautiful venue, based in Redhill, overlooking the surrey countryside, with stunning views and seriously stunning architecture, with a design based upon the palace of Westminster.

Jean got ready here at the priory, with the most amazingly spacious suite.  There ceremony was held here to, followed by drinks and canapés in the library.  This fabulous venue provided a fantastic backdrop for our posed images.  I always love it when everything is held under the same venue, it makes everything so relaxed, and I get so much more time to capture the true essence of the day.

The wedding breakfast was lovely and relaxed, lots of giggles coming from the brilliant characters!  The gorgeous cake was created by http://www.jeannettesgreatcakes.co.uk/.  After the meal, everybody spilled out onto the terrace overlooking the views, very relaxing indeed.

Take a little look for yourselves……
